"I am a senior at Lowell High School, and I have been learning art with Mrs. Wei for a little over 8 years now. I started out with the step-by-step drawing of cartoons and advanced to solo sketching and eventually painting. As a fairly creative person, I really enjoy Mrs. Wei's teaching style. She taught me the basic principles of art and encouraged me to experiment with new ideas to build my artistic toolbelt. She is a highly trained artist and her tremendous ability as an instructor reflects that. Her teachings extend past the bounds of ordinary impressionistic painting and have helped me even in photo/video editing and animation. Thinking artistically led me to my passion for engineering and a personal essay about art helped me get into my dream school: Princeton University.
I can barely express with these few words how much this studio and especially Mrs. Wei positively impacted my development. I highly recommend this art studio to anyone who is interested in developing an extraordinary life skill." -Robert Shi

"I have been at this art school since I was 5 and am now 17! I cannot recommend this studio and teacher enough. I have learned so so much from Mrs. Wei and I owe all my artistic talent and passion to her. Her teaching is very easy to follow and learn from and I could not have asked for a better art teacher! I 1000000% recommend her." -Valerie Lin
"I have attended Asian Arts School for nearly a decade now, and it has been incredibly enriching, inspiring, and valuable. Currently in the advanced section, I am painting "creative" works, combining my own knowledge with various reference photos to build one cohesive artwork. Under Mrs. Wei's guidance––who has taught me to sketch and paint with contrast, color theory, proportion, perspective, etc.––I have been able to explore art forms beyond realism: impressionism, modernism, architecture, photography, merchandise, and more! These skills have become part of my daily life as a source of personal enjoyment, as well as in other meaningful ways, such as designing yearbooks and promoting conservation. Ultimately, I wholeheartedly recommend AAS to anyone eager to step past their comfort zone and grow as both an artist and a creative thinker."

"I'm a senior in high school and I've been at this school for over 9 years now. Ms. Wei (the art teacher) is the kindest and most supportive art teacher you could ever come across. She has taught and showed me that there is so much to art and it's safe to say I've never experienced a negative moment at this art school. Being here over the past few years has transformed me into the independent artist I am today where I would create my own art pieces in and out of the studio. I am so grateful to have started my artist journey here and to continue it in the future.."

"I highly recommend checking out Asian Art School! Although classes are held virtually due to the pandemic, I find that each session I attend is an escape from reality and a safe environment to be creative. Teacher Lin Wei and her amazing group of dedicated teacher assistance made sure to prioritize every student's potential to grow and excel in their artistic skills. The studio is an environment where students learn from the teachers and peers to be inspired to diverge into their individual style. That is why there are often engaging activities the studio hosts such as art galleries, live portrait drawing sessions, art competitions, outside landscape drawing.
When I was planning to audition for San Francisco's Ruth Asawa School of the Art (SOTA) high school, Mrs. Wei gave helpful tips in finalizing my art portfolio, which ultimately got me into the completive school.
